Kalule Herbert went to work at Afriart gallery in 2003 when he left school. Inspired by what he saw there, he started experimenting and soon became a self taught artist. He sold his first painting a year later  

In 2007, he started producing fabrics as inspired by his fashion designer mother and now  makes batiks, wall hangings and materials for interior designing and fashion.    He has been involved in several exhibitions both solo and group exhibitions over the years and has worked at Umoja Art Gallery since 2011.  

His work has been showcased in several countries including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Belgium, and can be found different galleries including Banana hill, Photirzo (Nairobi), Cultural heritage  (Arusha), Umoja (Uganda)
