Florence Nanteza is a young Ugandan female artist born,1995 in the great Masaka region of central Uganda. Her desire to paint started at an early age having had a challenge of low self-esteem, she sought comfort in drawing as was inspired by her father; who is also an artist.

Upon completion of high school, she embraced art as a great way to express her feelings in form of banana collages using local material. Her works have gained great attention of expatriates and tourists in the Masaka region over the years. Later in 2020 she got a plattform to promote her works with Ndege Ya Akili, and thus had a chance to exhibit her work in a solo exhibition at Masaka art gallery in 2021.

Today her work is a manifestation of memories and dreams with rich colorful backgrounds, undefined and simplified subjects. Her subliminal collages invite the viewer to remember with her, her own memories and dreams as they also make theirs and draw their own dreams.
