Edison Mugalu is a self-taught Ugandan expressionist painter born and raised in Kayunga, whose love for art started as a child as he accompanied his mother to make colour from flowers. In 2003, he joined Ngoma Artists Studio in Bukoto where he was greatly inspired to start painting.

He later developed his own distinctive style using acrylics, collage and African fabric to give an eye-catching visual creativity in form of paintings.

His work has been privately collected  and widely exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions in several countries including USA, Belgium, Australia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, etc
