Born in 1982 Kampala Uganda, Damba graduated with a Bachelors in fine art from the prestigious Margeret Trowell School of lndustrial an fine arts, Makerere University in 2005. Participated in several workshops and residencies in Uganda and internationally. Started his Career under the Ngoma International artists Workshop, participated in shows with Tulifanya gallery, Afriart gallery, Alliance francaise 'Kampala,  the Nommo Gallery, Design Agenda etc and later the East Africa Art Biennales in Dar-es-Salam

His works later shown in the whole of East Afica, the gallery of African fine Art in Sydney Australia, Germany, Denmark ,Sweden, France, Belgium and the USA. In 2007, the World Bank Collected several of his pieces in their permanent Collecion under the "Africa Now"'(emerging talents from a Continent on the move).

Damba Majored in Anatomy Drawing and illustrations. So he works in painting as his favourite medium but also woodcut printmaking, drawing and watercolours. He has no limits to subject matter for his inspiration however his latest inspiration has been African wildlife especially the endangered spices ie. the African Elephant, Leopard , the Rhino, shoebills and the mountain Gorillas from the South Western part of Uganda. He says his art is a mirror, a language and a form of documentation for the enviroment he lives in.

Damba Counts 9 solo exhibitions in his career and a number of group exhibitions both locally and internationally. ln 2010, he founded the Njovu Art Studio in kampala where he works as a full time artist and also mentors other upcoming artists.
